About
Born in Saguenay in 1961, son of a forester, Robin Simard spent his childhood in the forest. As a teenager, he photographs and films lakes and rivers, develops and realizes his first images. At the beginning of 1980, his passion continued in Montreal with studies in photography at Marsan College of Photography.
From the 90s to today, from film to digital technologies, he has thirty years of practice in advertising photography, large-format imaging and a dozen in the teaching of photography. Over the years, his studio has the privilege of carrying out many display projects for the cosmetics industry. Passionate craftsman, his mastery of large-format shooting, computer graphics and imagery on soft and rigid materials is worth it to serve, among others: L'Oreal, Biotherm, Giorgio Armani, Ralf Lauren, Yves St- Laurent, Caudalie New York, etc.
In 2016, tinged with his love of nature, inspired by a trip to the Îles-de-la-Madeleine and his appreciation for the visual arts, he presents a first project of solo exhibition We walked on the islands at the Museum-de -the-Sea of avre-Aubert. In 2017 will follow the presentation of the Phantasma project at Carte Blanche Gallery in Montreal.
