Né au Saguenay en 1961, fils de forestier, Robin Simard passe son enfance en forêt. Adolescent, il photographie et filme lacs et rivières, développe et réalise ses premières images. Début 80, sa passion se poursuit à Montréal par des études en photographie au Collège de Photographie Marsan.

Des années 90 à aujourd’hui, du film argentique aux technologies numériques, il cumule une trentaine d’années de pratique en photographie publicitaire, imagerie grand-format et une dizaine dans l’enseignement de la photographie. À travers les années, son studio a le privilège de réaliser de nombreux projets d’affichages pour l’industrie du cosmétique. Artisan passionné, sa maitrise de la prise de vues grand format, de l'infographie et de l'imagerie sur matériaux souples et rigides lui vaut de servir, entre autres : L’Oréal, Biotherm, Giorgio Armani, Ralf Lauren, Yves St-Laurent, Caudalie New York, etc..

En 2016, teinté par son amour de la nature, inspiré par un voyage aux Îles-de-la-Madeleine et son appréciation pour les arts visuels, il présente un premier projet d’exposition solo On a marché sur les îles au Musée-de-la-Mer de Havre-Aubert.

Born in Saguenay in 1961, son of a forester, Robin Simard spent his childhood in the forest. As a teenager, he photographs and films lakes and rivers, develops and realizes his first images. At the beginning of 1980, his passion continued in Montreal with studies in photography at Marsan College of Photography.

From the 90s to today, from film to digital technologies, he has thirty years of practice in advertising photography, large-format imaging and a dozen in the teaching of photography. Over the years, his studio has the privilege of carrying out many display projects for the cosmetics industry. Passionate craftsman, his mastery of large-format shooting, computer graphics and imagery on soft and rigid materials is worth it to serve, among others: L'Oreal, Biotherm, Giorgio Armani, Ralf Lauren, Yves St- Laurent, Caudalie New York, etc.

In 2016, tinged with his love of nature, inspired by a trip to the Îles-de-la-Madeleine and his appreciation for the visual arts, he presents a first project of solo exhibition We walked on the islands at the Museum-de -the-Sea of Havre-Aubert.
